Crew of the ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup looking forward to reinforcement
DUISBURG (17.4.2019). Get to know top canoeists? This is possible at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup from 31 May to 2 June on the Wedau-Course in the Sportpark Duisburg. The hosting Kanu-Regatta-Verein is looking forward to reinforcements for its helper team. Jürgen Joachim, President of the Kanu-Regatta-Verein, says: "There are still some tasks that we would like to entrust to reliable volunteers".
These include support for the driving service, employees in the award ceremony team, assignments as attachés in team support (foreign language skills very welcome) or support for work in the guest of honour grandstand. For the boat scales, carrying hands are also required.
Jürgen Joachim explains the call by looking beyond the World Cup. "Next year, in addition to the World Cup, we will have the Para World Championship and the Olympic qualification here. One year later we will host the European Championships and in 2023 the World Championships will come back to Duisburg. Therefore we wanted to expand our helper base. This year's World Cup offers a good opportunity to get a taste of the atmosphere and to get to know the tasks of a regatta".
