Dear international canoe family,

Duisburg is back on the world stage of canoe racing. We are eagerly awaiting the ICF Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe World Championships. It is a special world championship this August. In the pre-Olympic year, expectations are high.

Duisburg has already hosted the World Canoe Championships five times. In 1979, 1987, 1995, 2007 and 2013, the title fights created enthusiasm: among the fans in the stands, but also among the athletes and officials. The Paracanoe World Championships in 2013 and 2016 are also unforgettable.

We look forward to warmly welcoming the best in the world and their fans to Duisburg from August 23-27, 2023. Together we will make the ICF Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe World Championships an outstanding event.
